Latest Plans Emerge for Lenox Auto & Bike Show
The plans for the September 18 and 19 Western MA Nationals Auto and Bike Show have been refined to accommodate vendors, regional guests and the community taking part in many of the sponsor related programs throughout the weekend. By being headquartered on one of the major supporter's prestigious properties -- the Lenox Commons (former Aspenwell/Lenox Shops) located just north of the Village of Lenox on Route 7&20 - the new home for the event will provide the space for assembling the many vehicles and motorcycles expected.
Plans for the two day event include a Preview Show on Saturday beginning at 10AM at Lenox Commons offering an array of shopping & food vendors, FREE entertainment and specialty awards presented, a Saturday night cruise for show cars and motorcycles alike, a Sunday morning motorcycle tour, and part 2 of the Auto and Bike Show starting at 10am on Sunday with an awards ceremony beginning at 3PM, again at the Lenox Commons.
A FREE Shuttle bus will be available to Auto show patrons and spectators wanting to move around the Route 7&20 corridor and spend time in Lenox Village. This approach avoids any potential traffic flow problems within the Village itself while still making the Village readily available. Overflow parking will be available in many of the designated areas throughout the Route 7&20 corridor.
"The 4th Annual Western MA Nationals Auto & Bike Show is shaping up to be a fabulous event for participants and spectators alike," noted event organizer Sandra French-Laughran. "Lenox Commons provides easy access for all while still taking advantage of the many great features Lenox offers, both within its Village and throughout town without creating bottlenecks in the Village."
Final plans and any remaining approvals needed for the show will be presented at the Lenox Selectboard's meeting scheduled for Wednesday, August 25 at 7PM.
